National or foreign students that have obtained an undergraduate degree or legal equivalent, or that have obtained a higher education foreign degree awarded upon completion of a 1st cycle of studies in accordance to the Bologna Process principles, may apply.

When applicable, students holding a higher education academic degree, that is recognized as fulfilling the degree of undergraduate (Licenciatura) by the statutorily competent scientific organ of the higher education institute to which they intend to be admitted, may apply.

Moreover, candidates that hold an academic, scientific or professional curriculum that is recognized as attesting to their abilities to fulfil this cycle of studies by the statutorily competent scientific organ of the higher education institute to which they intend to be admitted, may apply.

Necessary documents for applications to non-integrated master studies:

• Curriculum Vitae – professional/academic;
• Portfolio;
• Copy of the identification document (optional), or, alternatively, the filling of the declaration of personal identification form / passport / foreign identification document;
• Tax Identification Number;
• Certificate of qualifications (proof of academic degree[s]), must be certified by the consulate services with the affixing of the Hague Apostille Convention, from the government from which the document originates. In addition, whenever documents are not produced in Portuguese, English, French, or Spanish, they must be translated to one of these languages;
• Programme contents of the approved course units (optional);
• Motivation letter;
• Other document(s) deemed relevant for the application evaluation;
• Proof of payment.

For the non-integrated master studies there is no distinction between national and international students, which means all students of foreign nationality who possess the access requisites, or equivalent, may apply to these studies, paying the same tuition fee as national students.

This amount is €3500 for the full programme, phased in 10 instalments of €300 and 10 instalments of €50 in the second year, in accordance to the Tuition Fee Regulations of FA.ULisboa.

In addition, these applications are subject to a stipulated charge of €140 upon registration, as well as an administrative charge of €40 and a school insurance of €1,43.

Non-integrated master studies undertaken in partnership with other higher education institutions have different access conditions and different tuition fee values, and are dealt with administratively outside the FA.ULisboa.
