Organização do próximo ano letivo

A Faculdade de Arquitetura encontra-se a preparar a organização do próximo ano letivo, mas os acontecimentos que marcaram o ano de 2020, particularmente a crise sanitária relacionada com a pandemia Covid-19, e a imprevisibilidade da sua evolução, obriga-nos a trabalhar com cenários que poderão ser alterados no decorrer do ano letivo.

Naturalmente, o desejo da FA.ULisboa é que o fim da pandemia nos permita, logo que possível, passar a viver em completa normalidade.

No entanto, em linha com as decisões de todas as escolas da ULisboa e com as diretivas e recomendações do Governo, para a existência de uma percentagem de aulas presenciais, a Faculdade de Arquitetura considerou três regimes de lecionação para o funcionamento do próximo ano letivo. Assim:

Cenário 1: Inexistência de medidas de confinamento que restrinjam a atividade letiva ou o funcionamento da escola. Este cenário torna-se cada vez mais improvável para o início do ano letivo, mas poderá ser implementado logo que o fim da pandemia o permita.

Cenário 2: Cenário de reconfinamento e com aulas à distância, com eventual abertura de algumas infraestruturas e serviços da escola para apoio aos alunos. Neste regime todas as atividades letivas presenciais estão suspensas. Será comparável às medidas de  confinamento que estiveram em vigor durante o estado de emergência de março de 2020 e dependerá do enquadramento legal que venha a ser estabelecido.

Cenário 3: Cenário mitigado, onde se alternam as aulas presenciais e à distância em todas as unidades curriculares, reduzindo a presença dos alunos a metade da ocupação habitual e adaptando os espaços da FA.ULisboa às recomendações emanadas pela DGS – Direção Geral de Saúde, no seu documento de 4 de julho de 2020. Este é o cenário que se afigura, por ora, mais provável, embora salvaguardando sempre a necessidade de atender à evolução nos próximos meses.

Neste último cenário, está prevista a utilização obrigatória de máscara de proteção individual, a existência de circuitos pré-definidos de utilização dos espaços, a lotação máxima dos vários tipos de espaços das instalações da FA e o cumprimento rigoroso dos protocolos de higienização entre utilizações.

Salientamos que o ano letivo está a ser preparado de modo a transitar de um cenário para o outro, sem interrupção das aulas, nem alteração do calendário letivo. No princípio do mês de setembro conseguiremos ter uma ideia mais precisa das nuances em relação ao funcionamento efetivo das aulas, que terão início no dia 28 de setembro de 2020.

Entretanto, a Faculdade de Arquitetura está a realizar um procedimento para reforço da rede wireless em todos os edifícios, por forma a permitir a toda a comunidade académica o acesso à rede em condições de qualidade e rapidez e cujas obras estarão concluídas antes do início das aulas.

O Conselho Pedagógico está empenhadamente a preparar os cenários de funcionamento, que se refletirão nos horários e na distribuição dos espaços.

Organisation of the next school year

The Lisbon School of Architecture is preparing the organisation of the next school year, but the events that marked the year 2020, particularly the health crisis related to the Covid-19 pandemic, and the unpredictability of its evolution, forces us to work with scenarios that may change during the school year.              

Naturally, the desire of FA.ULisboa is that the end of the pandemic will allow us, as soon as possible, to live in complete normality.

However, in line with the decisions of all ULisboa schools and the directives and recommendations of the Government, for the existence of a percentage of face-to-face classes, the Lisbon School of Architecture has considered three teaching regimens for the functioning of the next school year. Thusly:

Scenario 1: No confinement measures restricting the school’s teaching activity or functioning. This scenario is becoming increasingly unlikely for the beginning of the school year, but could be implemented as soon as the end of the pandemic permits it.

Scenario2: Reconfinement scenario and distance learning, with possible opening of some school infrastructure and services to support students. Under this regimen, all face-to-face teaching activities are suspended. It will be comparable to the confinement measures that were in place during the state of emergency of March 2020 and will depend on the legal framework that is established.

Scenario3: Mitigated scenario, where in-person and distance classes alternate in all course units, reducing the presence of students to half the usual occupation and adapting the FA.ULisboa spaces to the recommendations issued by DGS –General Directorate of Health, in its document of July 4, 2020. This is the scenario that seems, for now, most likely, while safeguarding the need to meet developments in the coming months.

Specifically, the mandatory use of personal protection masks, the existence of predefined circuits for the use of spaces, the maximum capacity of the various types of spaces in FA facilities, and strict compliance with the hygiene protocols between uses are foreseen.

We highlight that the school year is being prepared in such a way as to move from one scenario to the other, without interruption of classes or change of the school calendar. At the beginning of September, we will have a more precise idea of the nuances in relation to the effective functioning of the classes, which will begin on September 28.

Meanwhile, the Lisbon School of Architecture is carrying out a procedure to reinforce the wireless network in all the buildings, in order to allow the entire academic community access to the network in conditions of quality and speed, and whose works will be completed before the beginning of the classes.

The Pedagogical Council is committedly preparing the functioning scenarios, which will be reflected in the schedules and distribution of spaces.
